Dirty Martini Cardiff’s Choctails

Hello there!

We couldn’t help but notice Dirty Martini had a special Easter menu available so we absolutely had to go and try out their Choctails. We are already huge fans of their chocolate martini and I can’t tell you how many we’ve had before – we often go out for a meal and stop there for one as our dessert!

However for Easter they also brought out two additional cocktails to make the trio of choctails. So as a start to the Easter weekend we went to try them out!

As mentioned we already love their Chocolate Martini so here’s a quick run down of the ingredients: Absolut Vanilla vodka, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and Briottet Creme de Cacao liqueur shaken with double cream and cocoa powder for a super smooth martini topped with a dark chocolate stick.

(this chocolate martini is one we had a few months ago so ignore the martini menu behind as there are some new additions to it!)

If the cocktail itself wasn’t amazing enough the chocolate stick is so so good, and is a vital part (this is how we class it as dessert….it would be rude not to right?)

The two additional cocktails were:

The Maltease, containing Havana 3 year rum, Mozart white chocolate cream liqueur, coconut water and Canadian maple syrup shaken with Ovaltine malt powder and smooth Nutella, then topped with whipped mascarpone foam and grated dark chocolate.

I watched this one being made and the guy had to force most of the cocktail through the sieve because of the Nutella – it’s amazing!

The White Rabbit contains Morgan’s spiced rum, Solerno Blood Orange liqueur Briottet Creme de Cacao and caramel syrup shaken with fresh mascarpone, citrus and Mozart chocolate bitters and a fresh egg, finished with a grated orange zest.

This was simultaneously super sweet and luxurious whilst also being fresh thanks to the citrus, we both loved this and would definitely have it again.

The Choctails are available until the 30th of April, so I’d recommend getting in quick before they go. They’d be a great idea this weekend to get you over the Easter chocolate binge on the weekend!

The choctails cost £8 each are are so delicious!!
