Cocorico Patisserie Afternoon Tea

Hey All

Cocorico is somewhere I’ve been absolutely loving recently, I’ve been for tea and cake, a macaron masterclass and an amazing breakfast so when L asked what I wanted to do for my birthday I decided it was time to try their afternoon tea!

Cocorico Patisserie is on Whitchurch Road and has been around for a while now, it was first recommended to me by a colleague of my other half 3 years ago and we’ve been popping back in ever since.

They do amazing pastries, great macarons and delicious Patisseries, if you go definitely try a new best friend.

As I was having my hair done on my birthday in Slunks which was situated across the road (it’s now in town) me and my other half went in for a birthday breakfast and the halloumi hash is amazing!

Into the afternoon tea for today’s post, we went for the afternoon tea with fizz priced at £20, we also went for the vegetarian one so it’s a little different to the normal one.

When the afternoon tea offering arrived we were wowed and didn’t know where to star

The savoury options were delicious, a goats cheese crossiant, quails egg and avacado roll and a mushroom pastry.

How cute is the little fried egg! It all tastes as good as it looked!

When you go in you get to choose a macaron of your choice, I went the violet one as it looked pretty! It tasted good too, the peanut butter and strawberry one is also amazing!

Next up was a blackberry tart with a delicious mousse inside!

These were amazing, mint chocolate goodness, if you watched Bake Off Creme da le crème you’ll have seen the guys make these! I love the nuts in the chocolate to add crunch.

The pistachio opera cake was not only visually beautiful! Look at all those clean cut layers it tasted amazing!!

By this point we needed tea, I love their tea pots.

Lastly we finished off with the tarte rating éclairs! I cannot even describe how amazing these are, I’m so glad I left it till last to eat!

So as you can tell by now we loved it, it all tasted amazing, there was great variation and we left feeling satisfied and not sick as some afternoon teas make you feel.

It’s £15 a head or £20 with a glass of fizz!

If you’ve not been to cocorico I can’t recommend a visit enough!

Love M
