Naissance 246 Organic Rosehip Oil

Hello!

If you’re long term readers you will know how much we love skincare and love supporting local. When we heard about Naissance we had to learn more, and were super lucky to receive some of their organic rosehip oil.

Naissance began at the foothills of the Brecon Beacons in 2005, they have a wide range of products including essential oils, carrier oils and raw ingredients including some that are certified by the Soil Association as organic.

The Rosehip oil was a great option for a first try of their products, I’ve copied the information straight from their website because it describes the product perfectly:

  • 100% pure, refined, soothing and hydrating, Rosehip Oil.
  • An excellent moisturising oil, suitable for all skin types including those with mature skin.
  • Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins.
  • Can be used in your homemade facial serums, toners, body/massage oils, bath oils, creams, lotions and balms. Can be used as an effective but gentle facial cleanser and make up remover.
  • Not tested on animals and vegan friendly.

I love the packaging of the little bottle with the dropper, I like to count how many drops i need to use to see how my skin is feeling that day so its the best option for me. It makes it very easy to use as I’m not much of a fan when you have to pour them out – I get into a mess!

I’ve been using the oil in the evenings after cleansing and before going to bed and my skin has been absorbing it really quickly. It doesn’t smell strongly and the day after my skin feels hydrated, I struggle with my skin sometimes because it is getting drier but is still oily and this hasn’t caused the oiliness to get any worse.

I always used to be so scared of using facial oils but now I’m obsessed!

I haven’t used it in other products such as creams as I like to layer up my skincare but can see this would work, I’d like to try it in the bath too and see if my skin feels more hydrated afterwards (I am currently having my bathroom redone so it’s not possible at the moment!)

Naissance Organic Rosehip Oil

The Organic Rosehip oil (246) costs £6.49 for a 60ml bottle and £8.49 for a 100ml bottle and is registered with the Vegan society.

I’ve been browsing their site and can also see some Argan oil, Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba oil, and Grapeseed oil all of which have great properties for your skin. I can feel an order coming on soon to try out a few different types and work out which is best for my skin, body and hair!

They also have a huge range of essential oils which I may have to raid as well, I’ve recently bought an aroma diffuser and have been enjoying trying new essential oils in it to help me relax and help my house smell great.

I look forward to placing an order in the near future for more of their products, the quality has been great so far!
