Lacura Charcoal Clearing Mud Mask

Morning all!

Recently I shared my thoughts on the Lacura Charcoal Mud to Foam Cleanser so today’s post is about the face mask in the same range, the Charcoal Clearing Mud Mask.

Lacura Charcoal Skincare

The Charcoal Clearing Mud Mask is designed to balance problem prone skin and help to clarify, mattify and minimise pores. It also helps to reduce the appearance of imperfections for a clearer complexion.

It contains clay, coconut extract, bamboo extract and eucalyptus oil as well as charcoal. Looking at the ingredients list it also contains lactic acid so this likely helps with the retexturising.

After use skin will be clearer, mattified and exfoliated. After 4 weeks skin will allegedly have minimised pores with reduced appearance of imperfections.

All you need to do is apply over clean skin 1/2 times a week.

First of all the packaging is beautiful, it looks very simple and the glass makes it feel much more expensive than it actually is.

The consistency is quite weird, its very thin in comparison to other masks but doesn’t seem to run. It feels cold when you put it on your skin and also tingles, it tingles to the point of almost burning. I expect this is down to the AHAs and these will help to resurface your skin and combat skin imperfections.

It does make a bit of a mess and gets everywhere but it’s worth it! You can see it on below, the mask does dry eventually but takes a while so it isn’t drying out your skin.

This mask cost £5.99 and I personally think its worth every penny. I’ve adored both of the masks I’ve purchased from Lacura (Aldi) and you can read my review of the other mask here Lacura Exfoliating Mud Mask

I’d say even if you weren’t sure you should pick up these masks if you ever see them in store, they are always limited edition and always snapped up. I’m normally pretty lucky and find some but I’ve only ever purchased one of each, next time I’m going to stock up and buy a few so I don’t run out of good affordable skincare that works and is cruelty free!

Have you tried the masks from Lacura? I’m a huge fan of their skincare, and I’ve picked up a few of their make up items to try next!
