Travel: Nandini Jungle Resort and Spa Luxury Stay

Hey All

When I wrote my Ubud Travel Guide (you can find it here) I mentioned we headed out into the Jungle to stay somewhere a bit special for our Anniversary. All the accommodation whilst we were in Bali was under £50 a night (usually a lot under!) but for our anniversary we decided we wanted something a bit more special and that’s when I found Nandini Jungle Resort and knew it had to be here.

We stayed in one of the Jungle View Villas which was absolutely beautiful, the villas are all set into the side of the mountain and feel so private, the resort it small with under 20 villas so it feels really peaceful. The rooms are decorated beautifully with amazing beds, gorgeous flowers and the most amazing bath. The balcony was amazing to sit on and relax as well.

For the afternoon we booked a private cookery class which was amazing. We cooked a three course traditional Balinese meal with the help of the chef. This was such a great experience and we were sat at a private table to eat each course we cooked.

After we were stuffed and chilled out and watched the sunset in the gorgeous infinity pool (here are some better photos from the site)

The resort is beautiful to walk around and was stunning at night with candles everywhere to light the steps.

The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you, from cool towels and a drink when you check in to refresh you, to a piece of cake delivered in the afternoon in a wooden box to our room and this treat for us at breakfast as we didn’t have dinner.

The resort also has a beautiful waterfall and river at the bottom of the resort, it’s so beautiful. The spa looked amazing but we didn’t have time to use it, there were multiple amazing locations to have massages including looking out over the edge of the jungle and down at the bottom of the river.

Nandini can also be used as a base to explore Ubud whilst being away from the busy main streets as they offer a daily shuttle bus in and out which we used to get back to Ubud.

I can’t recommend Nandini Jungle enough, it left us feeling so freshed and was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The cookery class is a must if you stay here! It worked out at just over £100 for a one night stay,

Love M
