The Best Cruelty Free Matte Lip Liquids

If you’ve followed the blog for a while or on Instagram you’ll know I love The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquids, I have the shades Tahiti Hibiscus and Mauritius Dahlia (reviewed here), over two years on and I need to repurchase as I’ve almost used them up.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquids are some of my favourite and most reached for products as they are so much more conditioning then other matte lip products. They feel like velvet on the lips, the colour packs on super pigmented, doesn’t bleed around the lip line even in the darker colours and sits comfortably on the lips without drying them out. They do need a reapplication through the day but do last pretty well. The Matte Lip Liquids come in at a great price of £6 each and usually you can grab a good deal in The Body Shop.

When shopping a few months back I couldn’t resist grabbing a few more of Matte Lip Liquids as I knew they were products I reach for every day I knew I wanted a few more neutral shades too so grabbed the colours Tuscan Lily and Windsor Rose. As with all of products the Body Shop Matte Lip Liquids are cruelty free and these are vegetarian! Unfortunately they aren’t vegan as they do contain beeswax.

Tuscan Lily is a neutral rose toned nude on me and just goes with every look, I find it complements most eye looks and is a great alternative to a bolder lip when red feels too much.

Windsor rose is a more brown tone nude on me (on my mum who I got both of these for as she loved them on me it’s definitely pinker and darker, it’s strange how much they vary on people, I thought she was wearing Tuscan Lily but she’d actually put on Windsor rose!) And is great for those make up days when you want your eyes to be the main focus but still have a nude lip.

There’s definitely a few more in the range I want to grab, I’m really glad going cruelty free a few years back made me try more from The Body Shop as they’re Foundation is now my favourite (reviewed here) and the matte lip liquids are probably my most used lip products.

Any recommendations on what to try next?

Love M

xXx
